First Aid Training

FIRST AID TRAINING IS A STRATEGY TO SAFEGUARD OUR TEAM AND OUR CLIENTS

As we mentioned in a previous blog, Aventuras 2000 has accepted the commitment to join the global fight to make tourism a 100% sustainable activity.

It is for this reason that we are currently making a series of reviews and reforms at a business level to obtain Travelife’s Sustainability Certification, which not only aims to maintain the integrity and beauty of tourist destinations around the world but also safeguards the people who live in them.

THE PROPER HANDLING OF MEDICAL TERMS SERVES TO DESCRIBE AN EMERGENCY ACCURATELY AND HELP US SAVE A LIFE

On May 8, part of our team received basic training in first aid provided by Silverio Indriago, a paramedic from SEMM Panama, emergency medical service and rescue. In the three-hour activity, we learned about the importance of having enough knowledge to communicate or correctly describe an emergency and, of course, handle the situation in each of its stages (prevention, action, and solution).

Among the topics we addressed were the initial assessment of consciousness, breath, and pulse as well as the importance of observation for prevention and the use of empathy when approaching a person in an emergency. This first part of the first aid training program had the participation of our sales, operations, systems, human resources, accounting, and administrative team.
