We are transported by bus to Colón to visit the Panama Canal expansion from the Visitors Center of Agua Clara Locks; then we move to live the history of the Conquest of the Fort of San Lorenzo, located in the entrance of the Chagres River, which formed the defensive system for the transatlantic trade of the Crown of Spain and constituted a magnificent example of the military architecture of the centuries XVII and XVIII. Afterwards, we go to the Meliá Panama Canal Hotel to enjoy a delicious lunch and its facilities (including the use of kayaking). Later, we will take a catamaran sailing towards the Emberá Nepono Puru community, experiencing their lives, history, language, crafts, their dances and listening to traditional music, and also being able to buy their crafts, or get a typical temporary tattoo. After the tour, we will tour the Gatun Lake to observe the flora and fauna, such as birds, monkeys and sloths.
