You will find yourself in a boat experience, where wildlife surrounds you. This in itself is a powerful experience to see the Canal from withn and visit the Isla de los Monos, located on the famouse Gatun Lake.
This is an adventure on the lake of sounds and views of the rainforest. We will move to the public dock at Gatun Lake after traveling on one of the picturesque internal roads once used to communicate the cities and military bases with the canal's support buildings.
We will board a small boat to navigate next to the large ships that pass through the Canal after passing under a wooden bridge where the transisthmian railway passes. This in itself is a powerful experience of observing the channel from within.
We will make a stop at Isla de los Monos to see in the vicinity of the tropical rainforest that supports the operation of the Panama Canal. As we move along the forested shores of the lake, also a protected area, we will descend at a cruising speed and look for wildlife such as capuchin monkeys, 3-toed sloths, howler monkeys, various types of toucans and other birds. When we get closer to Monkey Island, the excitement will raise your adrenaline levels in anticipation of these cute animals that could reach the boat waiting to be fed; All this experience will be extremely educational.
Finally we will return to the pier and board the bus for a quick trip to the Summit Zoo; home to a mix of variety of native plants and animals, including our national bird, the Harpy Eagle. Then we will return you to your hotel in Panama City.
