This is a lake adventure of the sounds and sights of the tropical rainforest. We will go to the public dock at the Gatun Lake passing by a funny road used to communicate the cities and military areas, as well as Canal supporting buildings.
We will make a stop at the Monkey Island to see the rainforest of Panama Canal in close proximity. In cruise speed we will look for capuchin monkeys, three-toed sloths, howler monkeys, different types of toucans and other birds. After that, you will have the chance to do the Aerial Tram way at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. The aerial tram ride is a mile long tract of humid forest. It ascends 280 feet over half a mile and ends on a top of a hill. From here you will walk to the observation tower, and for these with some stamina involves a climb of 100 feet up a mildly inclined ramp. From the observation tower you’ll get great views of the Canal and the Chagres River, as well as the surrounding forested areas of Soberania National Park.
